Absorbed in thought

I keep my head bowed, a small smile playing on my lips. Inside me are years of struggle, unseen by anyone. I have raised my voice when injustice struck me and my community. I have learned to be quietly strong, even when the world often only sees my vulnerability. My story is marked by courage—the courage to keep going, even when the burden is heavy. This smile is my silent rebellion, my promise to myself never to give up and to walk my path with dignity.

Peace within us arises where worries find rest.
Inner peace is the space where we encounter ourselves,
connected to our body, to our breath.
A place where a gentle smile touches our features
and we draw confidence in our own strength
and in the world that sustains us.

The Verdict

I step onto the stage into the spotlight. Countless eyes turn toward me from the darkness: some admiring, others scrutinizing or dismissive. In that moment, I feel strength and vulnerability combine within me as I wonder why my appearance seems to mean more than my achievements. Every gaze conveys a different judgment.
