Girl with a Hood
It’s getting darker around me. On my way home someone pointed his finger at me. Was it because of my skin colour? How much silly talk have I heard on schoolyard this week! It’s getting colder. I’m pulling my hood further over my face. I’m feeling a bit safer this way. But there is hope, too. A voice reaching out to me, when I am feeling lost and helpless. I turn my face towards the light.
