Four large and one smaller sun hat blossoms unfold their rich purple colour in the foreground – powerful, present and full of summer intensity. Their dark centres form a calm counterpoint to the bright colours of the leaves and petals.
Between them and in the upper part of the picture, further floral forms appear: oval, orange flowers with a white accent, alongside hinted blue dots. They remain deliberately unspecific and seem like memories of a flowering meadow – fleeting and moving.
The background of vertical green brushstrokes is immediately reminiscent of grass. Set in different shades, they create depth and rhythm. The result is not a botanically accurate representation, but a vivid impression of summer, light and natural abundance.
“Sun Hat” celebrates the power of colour and the exuberance of a moment in full bloom.
