Regatta

Four stylised sailboats move side by side across the picture. The hulls remain pared back, while the large sails define the boats’ full length and carry the rhythm of the composition.
In bold colours, the sails stand out clearly. Their surfaces are structured through the use of rough plaster. This gives them a sculptural, powerful presence. The wind drives them forward, yet cannot harm them.
The boats’ parallel movement evokes a regatta: competition, speed, and a shared drive forward in the same wind. At the same time, the luminous colours and striking texture create a vivid dynamism in which movement, energy, and the play of wind and sail become tangible.
