A rocky hill rises into the stillness, rough and wind-carved. Upon it stand colourful huts like small signs of warmth in a cool world. Beyond the diagonal opens the Nordic Sea—wide, clear, traversed by ice floes and a distant iceberg on the horizon.
The sky stretches bright and luminous over the scene, crossed by delicate veil-like clouds. It is that particular light of the North Atlantic that Ingrid sought again and again—cool yet radiant, austere yet possessed of quiet beauty.
Between rock and ice, between colour and frost, “North” tells of the encounter between humanity and vastness. Not as struggle, but as quiet accord. A landscape that appears harsh—yet leaves room for life and light.
