The island of Lanzarote, part of the Canary Islands, has consistently inspired Ingrid with its vibrant colors and light.
The colors appear as an elemental composition of fire, earth, light, and sea. The island does not display lush, green landscapes – instead, a powerful, archaic color palette dominates, immediately recalling its volcanic origin.
In the volcanic mountains and craters, warm earth tones glow: ocher, terracotta, rust red, and even intense vermilion.
Around the island, the Atlantic shines in intense blue and turquoise hues. Depending on the incidence of light, the palette ranges from transparent aquamarine to deep ocean blue.
