The river flows sluggishly, autumn has coloured the trees and bushes in rich shades of red, yellow and ochre. The yellow sky indicates the setting sun. The houses on the bank seem almost foreign here. And yet, in its blurriness, this could be a place of longing for the painter.
Peace and quiet amid all this colourful splendour, accompanied by the gentle splashing of the water. What could be more beautiful?
